    Veterinary Mini-ecosystem Manager / Junior Digital Media Manager

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Responsible for development and execution of vet Mini-ecosystem (including HillsVet.co.za), front-end design and functionalities with our external partners, as well as communication messages incl. effective communication with all internal interfaces (Brand Marketing, Professional Veterinary Affairs, Customer Development, Business Development, International functions, etc.)
    • Responsible to steer/coordinate all necessary Mini-ecosystem back-end developments, maintenance and implementations (together with CS&L & finance teams where appropriate)
    • Responsible for the full country user acceptance testing (UAT) for deployments and upgrades coordinated by the regional team. 
    • Managing the customer service function related to the Mini-ecosystem
    • Work in conjunction with the EMEA Regional lead to raise development ideas / needs and responsible for local sign-off on new feature requirements
    • Development and implementation of activities/functionalities to drive penetration, recommendation, conversion and loyalty via the Mini-ecosystem
    • Workflow optimization of Mini-ecosystem content management activities and utilisation of synergies between online and offline-channels, project driven execution of all activities ensuring continuous improvement
    • Ensure Mini-ecosystem alignment with national promotional grids and proposal of bespoke communication / promotions (if / where applicable)
    • Briefing of agencies and monitoring / approval of content (in conjunction with Brand Marketing), including quality check of all Mini-ecosystem content
    • Be the Mini-ecosystem expert for the whole organisation
    • Responsible for ensuring that Mini-ecosystem Product Data remains updated to reflect new product launches, discontinuations, etc.
    • Development, analysis and reporting of KPIs, monthly tracking and end of the year evaluation
    • Providing proactive recommendations based on analysis to further drive the business.
    • Evaluation and set-up of management proposal for future growth opportunities 
    • Manage overall Mini-ecosystem budget and projections.  Responsible for coordinating budgets, and planned or ad-hoc Regional requests.
    • Manage our CRM strategy and execution to build greater engagement with our professional veterinary customers
    • Develop and implement the professional digital engagement plan. This includes the Hillsvet.co.za integrated ecosystem for our professional customers including all the tools linked to the platform, Vet CRM programs and expanding our presence and engagement on social media. You will work in close cooperation with the Brand Manager Therapeutic, Digital Manager and the Professional Veterinary Affairs team. You will also be the South African touchpoint for the EMEA team on Professional Digital Engagement.
    • Execute personalised CRM campaigns and analyse data from multiple sources (e.g. field activity and sales, website traffic, use of tools, interaction with social media, etc) with the goal to generate customer and commercial insights to optimise following campaigns and sales
    • Track performance via Local and European dashboards.

    Education/ Experience Requirements

    Basic qualifications include:  

    • A Bachelor degree
    • 2 years’ experience with digital marketing, content management and / or online PR with an agency (or in industry)
    • Proficient computer skills with Google Workspace tools and Microsoft Office
    • CRM / online-platform management experience
    • The ideal candidate would have some affinity with the veterinary profession

    Expected Areas of Skills :

    • Excellent digital skills and familiarity with digital & automation
    • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation)
    • Comprehensive knowledge of SEO, content-management-applications, web-applications, analysis-tools, photoshop, HTML and MS-Office 
    • Web and digital development experience/understanding
    • Good analytical skills
    • Previous experience in digital marketing
    • Some veterinary background and insight would be beneficial, but not essential
    • Some experience in commercial / sales / customer management roles would be beneficial, but not essential
