    Temporary Specialist: ITDT Governance And Information Security

    KEY DELIVERABLES

    • The Specialist: ITDT Governance and Information Security is responsible for ensuring the operations of the NHBRC information security solutions and establishing maturing an enterprise security stance through policy, architecture, and training processes.

    The Individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

    • Develop and implement the ITDT Governance Framework within the NHBRC.
    • Oversee ITDT Governance Risk assessments and Audits.
    • Develop and implement ITDT system change processes.
    • Establish ITDT change control committee and implement terms of reference.
    • Engage with peers in the Applications and ITDT Infrastructure teams in all business units to ensure enterprise-wide understanding of security goals, to solicit feedback and to foster co-operation.
    • Develop and implement an information security strategy for the organisation.
    • Oversee the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions.
    • Implement enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise security document specifically.
    • Develop and maintain the enterprise information security architecture.
    • Develop and maintain the enterprise security awareness training program.
    • Select and acquire additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve enterprise security as per the enterprise existing procurement processes.
    • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers, and other systems and in databases and other data repositories.
    • Provide information for investigations into problematic activity and provide communication with senior management.
    • Plan and execute vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.
    • Align ICT contracts with signed SLA.
    • Develop, monitor, and review the enterprise information security policies, procedures, standards, process flow s and forms.
    • Contribute to the development of and maintenance of the risk register of ITDT Governance and Information Security Risks
    • Compile reports and other documentation for internal stakeholders and council sub committees.
    • Collaborate with the compliance function in respect of monitoring and implementation Acts and Regulations.
    • Respond to audit findings.
    • Recommend actions on the improvement of systems and practices from a ICT Governance and Security perspective.
    • Ensures adherence to all policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
    • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) with external service providers.
    • Maintain project costing information on assigned projects.
    • Perform regular security awareness training for all employees to ensure consistently high levels of compliance with enterprise security documents.
    • Build and maintain good working relationship with all stake holders to ensure effective and efficient ICT Governance and Security environment.
    • Implement remedial actions where required.
    • Provide relevant technical support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric/Grade12 Certificate
    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in IT/Computers Science.
    • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in ICT and Information Security.
    • Relevant Information Security Certification.
    • Relevant Risk Management Certification
