Team Leader: UX Design at Capitec Bank

About the role:

• As a UX/UI Team Lead your role will be focused on contributing to the overarching strategy that shapes holistic client experiences by synthesizing multi-stakeholder input and leading a team of UX and UI specialists.
• You will either manage the end-to-end delivery of user interfaces, ensuring alignment with product strategies and design standards, or provide technical leadership in the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive design system. This involves overseeing the entire process, from conceptualization to execution and continuous refinement, to deliver cohesive and user-centric design solutions.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 7+ years of experience in either UX OR UI
• 2-4+ years in a Team Lead position
• Working with Figma, FigJam, and Miro
• Has a product focus
• Financial Services sector background
• Experience in leading multiple projects from beginning to end.
• Proven experience in designing and leading user research strategies, interviews, surveys, and usability studies, and translating findings into UX requirements.
• Experience in translating feature requirements into visual designs across platforms.
• Experience designing wireframes and prototypes
• Knowledge of agile project management principles
