    Tax Services Generalist

    A career within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.

    Our team helps our clients identify and reduce tax risks, meet compliance obligations, implement tax strategies that complement business and operational objectives, resolve disagreements with tax authorities, and manage tax accounting and reporting issues.     • To provide a wide range of consulting services to a Financial Services Industry clients
    • Laising with clients and colleagues to provide Corporate Tax Consulting Services.
    • Producing high level tax opinions and reports that add value to clients businesses.
    • Performing tax reviews as part of statutory audits.
    • Attending to Tax related queries from SARS.
    • Organising, monitoring and managing your own workload. You will be asked to assist Senior Managers on large groups and ad hoc projects.
    • Researching Tax technical issues.
    • Cost, fee and debtors management, including WIP.
    • Management of own client portfolio
    • Management of junior staff members
    • Key Internal Clients / Relationships
    • Departmental Tax team
    • National Tax team
    • Relevant firm subject matter experts

    Portfolio Managers/Partners

    • 2 years of Corporate Tax consulting experience essential and exposure to Financial Services clients would be highly desirable.

    Relevant Tax qualification (B. Comm./Acc/Law).
    Qualified CA and Postgraduate studies in Tax desirable

    • Knowledge and experience in application of the Income Tax Act.
    • Have commercial acumen and be driven to provide excellent client service
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work as part of dynamic team
    • Attention to detail and the ability to follow-through on tasks
    • Good interpersonal skills and professional skills
    • Ability to perform in a high pressure environment and work towards deadlines
