Subject Matter Expert - SAP DB2 ZOS at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

Perform deploy and operate work that pertains to SAP DB2 ZOS operations (as specifically allocated by line management from time to time to achieve optimal work load distribution amongst job holders.)

The incumbent shall be accountable to perform the work as allocated that will pertain to one or more of the following SAP DB2 ZOS deploy and operate processes:

• Perform preventative and re-active (2nd and 3rd level) database maintenance and database administration in line with SAP application support processes.
• Deploy database changes and additions.
• Maintain run books for databases maintenance and administration.
• Support database data backup and restore in cause of disaster recovery in accordance with the backup and restore regime.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BCom in Information Technology or BSC in Computer Science/Engineering
• A formal qualification (preferably vendor certified) in the use and administration of SAP DB2 ZOS databases

Experience Required

• 7 to10+ years experience in operation and administration of SAP DB2 ZOS databases, the SAP DB2 ZOS application and hosted applications requirements
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of operational SAP DB2 ZOS databases and associated ZOS operating systems and a good understanding of the related banking business applications utilising SAP DB2 ZOS databases and associated tools
• Advanced proficiency in IBM ZOS Performance Monitoring tools
• Advanced business writing and reporting skills
• Demonstration of Agile & SAFe methodologies
• Good understanding of the current state of IT Infrastructure, specifically pertaining to SAP databases for banking applications
