Specialist Process Engineer at Absa Group Limited (Absa)

Job Summary

• Own and maintain the Absa Africa Process Architecture modelling methodology, frameworks, notations, standards, processes and quality assurance and governance framework.Ensure adherence, conformance and compliance to the prescribed modelling methodologies, frameworks, notations, standards and guidelines thereby providing a standardised way of work across the organisation and upholding the quality and integrity of the repository at all times for Absa Africa.
• Provide iServer training to Modellers and External Consultants supporting Business Units with modeling initiatives. Provide Business Liaison and support to Business Units improving their experience re the iServer functionality.

Job Description

Outputs to deliver this accountability:

• Provide input to the documentation of the Process Architecture  methodologies, frameworks and notations (Archimate, BPMN) that will guide Modellers in the creation of  process artifacts for the enterprise of Absa Africa;
• Develop and own the methodology, standards, notation and guidelines for the Business Process Architecture Domain.
• Ensure existence of documented modelling standards and guidelines for the Process Architecture domain to ensure uniform and standardised content creation across the organisation for modelling process artifacts within the different domains.
• Periodically review and update documented modelling standards and guidelines to ensure relevance and to keep up with industry changes.

PROCESS ARCHITECTURE RESPOSITIORY GOVERNANCE, LOGICAL ACCESS MANAGEMENT, CHANGE CONTROL & QUALITY ASSURANCE

• Develop and document process governance, change control and quality assurance processes;
• Set up and implement repository governance, change control and quality assurance structures and engagement processes.
• Maintain the configuration of business process templates, and objects and related attributes.
• Assist with arranging repository access for Users.
• Coach, mentor and support content reviewers to ensure uniform and standard application of quality review and control processes.
• Facilitate and conduct periodic repository governance, change control and quality assurance forums, seminars and presentations.
• Provide Repository health check and maturity periodic reports.

ADHERENCE & COMPLIANCE TO PROCESS ARCHITECTURE GUIDELINES

• Monitor the content creation conformance, compliance and adherence to Process architecture methodologies, frameworks, notations, standards and guidelines;
• Provide Process architecture modelling advice, support and guidance to content creators;
• Conduct Process Architecture repository modelling research into trends, modern techniques and changes;
• Ensure alignment of content to reference architectures, i.e., business capabilities, process, information/data, application and technology reference architectures;
• Facilitate and conduct user forums looking into modelling trends and maturing enterprise repository

PROVIDE iSERVER TRAINING

• Provide and maintain a iServer Process Modelling training curriculum and course material in line with iServer current and improved functionalities.
• Arrange suitable venues, schedule courses via the on-line L&D booking system and present monthly iServer training courses and periodic templates training.
• Maintain up to date record and statistics of delegates trained.
• Obtain official training evaluation per course and maintain statistics.

BUSINESS LIAISON & SUPPORT

• Promote and market the services provided by the iServer Team to the Business and promote the implementation of a structured approach to manage to document and publish their material business processes.
• Determine, discuss and investigate additional repository functionality required by business, to improve the use and effective application of iServer adding value to business operations.
• Be instrumental in the the documentation of additional iServer functionality requirements and solutions required by Business.
• Assist the iServer Product Manager with the testing and implementation of new iServer developments and upgrades.
• Provide process modeling and process management consulting support and guidance to Business

EXPERIENCE

• 6 years exposure to the ICT Industry with specific experience in Business Process Architecture Modelling
• 6 Years experience in a Financial Industry
• 4 Years process analysis and process management experience. 
• Experience in integration projects across multiple domains
• Three (3) years exposure to Africa Technology
• Three (3) years exposure to one or more Architecture Modelling -Tools\Repositories
• ITIL\ ArchiMate exposure
• Lean Sigma.
