SHEQ Practitioner Environmental (Rustenburg) at Samancor Chrome

Job Responsibilities:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:

•  Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox
•  Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status).

CUSTOMERS:

•  All employees at the Mine.

BUSINESS PROCESSES:

•  Identify Environmental requirements and determine the impact they may have on the site
•  Monitor Environmental behaviour in line with expectations and legal requirements
•  Develop learning interventions to support implementation of Environmental Management System requirements and facilitate Environmental training courses
•  Conduct internal Environmental Audits and monitor and report closure on Audit findings
•  Report on the Performance of Site Environmental Management Systems and make recommendations on findings
•  Investigate Environmental Significant Incidents and participate in actual level 2 and 3 and potential level 4 Significant Incident Investigations
•  Facilitate the identification and assessment of Environmental Risks and update the risk register
•  Report Environmental statistics and information
•  Update of records on the EBM.

GROWTH:

•  Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

•  Grade 12/N3
•  Relevant Degree/Diploma in Environmental Management /Sciences
•  5 Years relevant experience, preferably 2 years supervisory experience.
