Senior Manager, Internal Financial Control at Standard Bank Group

Job Description

To lead and drive the implementation and management of the Group Internal Financial Control framework in order to monitor the adherence to these controls by all areas across the Standard Bank Group, with specific emphasis on the Africa Regions legal entities. To lead and guide Africa Regions legal entities to align all Internal Financial Control (IFC) processes to the Group IFC framework. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the country control environment and identify gaps to be addressed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: Post Graduate Degree
• Field of Study: Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting

Experience Required

• 7-10 years experience as Financial Manager with experience in Financial Control but very specifically financial control across different legal entities and jurisdictions.
• Technical IFRS accounting background and experience.
• Practical experience and good insight into ERP systems and the flow of information through various systems.
• Experience in dealing with foreign currency translations and revaluations.
• People management experience.
