Senior Manager, Internal Financial Control at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Is primarily responsible for leading CIB Financial Control efforts to embed a robust internal control framework in Africa Regions focusing on the CIB segment in support of CIB Finance, Business and Operations. This role entails process mapping and controls identification, implementing controls attestation tool and addressing other emerging high risk issues in AR. This role will bring confidence in the Key financial controls in AR thereby providing integrity to the numbers reported to SBG from AR. This role is also responsible for driving change from a financial control perspective both in AR and SA.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications

• Qualified CA or ACCA (or equivalent)
• CA (SA), first time passes with big 4 audit experience
• Masters in Finance or MBA

Experience Required

• 8-10 years
• This role requires an experienced Financial Manager with experience in Financial Control but very specifically financial control across different legal entities and jurisdictions. Technical IFRS accounting background and experience. Practical experience and good insight into ERP systems and the flow of information through various systems. Experience in dealing with foreign currency translations and revaluations. People management experience.
