Senior Field Service Technician – Middelburg at Cummins Inc.

We are looking for a talented SENIOR FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – MIDDELBURG to join our team specializing in SERVICE for our DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS SEGMENT in MIDDELBURG, MPUMALANGA, SOUTH AFRICA .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

• Communicates to ensure territories are well informed and regularly scheduled meetings across team/functions/customer groups.
• Investigates complex emerging issues as well as product or process issues in the field and delivers robust technical solutions.
• Coaches and develops technicians and/or apprentices and transfers knowledge and experience to others; may provide work direction; may review repair plans, parts lists, etc.
• Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
• Identifies additional sales and service opportunities with customer.

To be successful in this role you will need the following :

• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution and Trade Test Certificate.
• Significant field service work experience (Minimum 5 years).
• Mining experience (preferred).
• Computer literate (word, excel &PowerPoint).
