Senior BI Developer at The Heineken Company

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures data quality and integrity through the implementation of appropriate data validation and cleansing techniques.
• Optimizes and fine-tunes the performance of queries, reports, and data processes for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Works closely with business users, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical requirements.
• Translates business requirements into technical specifications and designs effective BI solutions.
• Provides guidance and support to data analysts and end-users in using BI tools and interpreting data.
• Develops visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
• Presents complex data in a simplified and meaningful manner to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Monitors and troubleshoots issues related to data integration, data quality, and performance.
• Performs regular maintenance activities, including data backups, security enhancements, and software upgrades.
• Continuously evaluates and implements improvements to enhance the usability, efficiency, and scalability of BI solutions.
• Stays updated with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the field of business intelligence.
• Evaluates and recommends new tools, methodologies, and approaches to enhance the organization's BI capabilities.
• Shares knowledge and best practices with the team and contributes to the continuous improvement of BI processes.

Education and Expereicne:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Masters Degree is preferred
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or in a similar role, with at least 6 years of experience designing and implementing BI solutions.
• Strong proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data structures and business requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Continuous learning mindset and ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
