    Sales Manager, Anglophone Africa, GRS

    • We are looking for an experienced and energetic salesperson to lead the growth of new sales in Anglophone Africa for our Government Revenue Solutions (GRS) and associated solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing a clear strategy for the region to achieve long-term goals. You will be working with third parties, building, and maintaining strong relationships with them, understanding their requirements and expectations to generate opportunities.
    • To be successful, you must possess a proven track record of successful sales within the Authentication and/or Track and Trace sector with large solution-based contracts for Government agencies.  You will be results driven with excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to own and manage each opportunity from qualification through to contract.  You will be meticulous in making arrangements for successful regional events that support the Sales Strategy and deliver returns for the business, confident in pipeline management and reporting, and work constructively with people at all levels to ensure efficient implementation of new projects and the receiving of revenue.
    • This full-time position is part of an international GRS Sales team, and the successful candidate must be based within the East Africa region.

    What will you be doing?

    • Defining and implementing a clear sales strategy for the Region, consistent with the Division’s long-term goals of targeting the right customers, maximising opportunity to beat competitors and grow market share
    • Gain a clear understanding of the strategies and requirements of stakeholders, especially manufacturers and importers, through senior country and regional engagement
    • Ensure effective pipeline management and reporting, using CRM, ensuring we only expend resource on opportunities we can win and ensuring timely movement of opportunities through the pipeline to successful conclusion
    • Oversee the arrangement of appropriate and successful regional events that support the Sales Strategy and deliver returns for the business while working with project management, design, product management, IT and service, and manufacturing to ensure efficient implementation of new projects and fast first revenues from new wins
    • Develop commercial strategies to influence the terms of reference of Digital Tax Stamp (DTS) tenders to ensure maximum flexibility and enable DLR experience and capability to be used to maximum effect
    • Manage Third Party Partners (TPPs) across the Region to ensure they meet the ABC and ethics expectations of the business, meet their milestones and targets and deliver good value

    What qualifications, skills and experience are we looking for?

    • Experience in the Authentication and Track and Trace sector, dealing with large and complex tendering accounts including governments
    • Proven experience of consultancy selling of security and software solutions
    • Ability to create long-lasting and strong relationships at all levels, internally and externally with third party partnerships and alliances in territories
    • Commercial acumen with ability to create and drive the right sales strategy in line with business needs
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
    • Good technical acumen
    • Delivery driven with strong sales experience obtaining results
    • Ability to overcome challenging environments/situations
