Safety Officer at Empact Group

Main Purpose of the job

•  To work within a multi-disciplinary team in order to achieve the overall HSE and Risk Management objectives of the organization.

Desirable education and experience:

• SAMTRACK or similar
• HACCP and FSC22000 experience
• Minimum first Aid Level 1 (preferable)
• Should be familiar with OHS45001
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar
• Experience in heavy industry environment
• Valid Driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• Hazard identification and risk assessment
• Incident investigation
• In-dept knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act No of 1993 and regulations
• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential
• Must be focused, driven and a strong communicator
• Strong administrative skills required
• Working at Heights and Fall arrest and Rescue Plan development
• Must be available for after-hours on-site incidents

Key areas of responsibility:

• Develop, implement and maintain site policies and procedures specific to the activities on site
• Site inspections and reporting
• Conduct training and raising awareness
• Incident investigating, reporting and management
