    Retail Sales Representative - Free State & Northern Cape

    Why do we need you ?

    • Actively engaging and selling Saint-Gobain products and solutions to retail merchants to deliver sales revenue and to ensure that order placements are met.
    • Building sustainable customer relationships to maximise market advantage. This is to be achieved by focusing on retail merchants and their sales teams to actively and jointly secure market and project opportunities, through engagement with retailer’s contractors and developers to develop and implement end user agreements, leading to sustainable & profitable growth for Saint-Gobain and channel partners.
    • Articulate how our offer stands out, offer technical expertise and advice on the advantages of our comprehensive product to communicate the value proposition to the customer.
    • Proactively identify new opportunities for enhanced product offerings, uncovering and understanding these through application of trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, commercial awareness, and in-depth knowledge of customer’s businesses,
    • Enhance product mix to show value add to the customer base and in alignment with company strategy.

    Is this job for you ?

    • The ideal candidate should have 3 years’ experience in a customer facing role.
    • The candidate should have a degree, diploma or a relevant industry qualification in construction/building disciplines and have a valid driver’s licence.
    • The role calls for a person who has commercial awareness, an ability to identify opportunities and action.
    • Success at selling new concepts and products.
    • Construction market experience and knowledge of procurement routes.
    • Ownership of and engagement with continuous self-development. \Proven technical competence – understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate for commercial benefit. \Operating within a business environment and a broader understanding of economic drivers preferred.
