Research Project Coupon Manager - eThekwini at TB HIV Care

Purpose of the position:

• The Research Project Coupon Manager oversees the provision and management of study coupons and messaging of recruitment. This person is also responsible for managing participant reimbursements. This will be part of a biobehavioural survey among people who inject drugs

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 / matric
• Office Administration qualification
• Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar job function
• Familiarity with community-based research principles and/ or experience in research
• Knowledge and experience in working / research with key populations, ideally with people who use drugs
• Experience in managing petty cash and making reconciliations
• Proficiency in English and any other African language

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Checking validity of study coupons
• Registering the person’s fingerprint into the biometric management system
• Screening the person for eligibility to participate in the survey
• Providing brief information about the study to the potential participant and assessing willingness to participate
• Issuing of primary and secondary compensation to study participants
• Maintains the Coupon manager Excel spreadsheet
• Completes and manages reimbursement logs
• Maintains record of used and void coupons
• Ensure correct filing and storage of coupons
• Conducts reconciliations of use of petty cash/ participant reimbursements
