    Quality Improvement Team Leader - Mpumalanga

    Description

    • Provide leadership, coordination and formulate the QI/QA agenda within RTC programmes .

    Requirements
    Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

    • A degree in Nursing or Health related or related field
    • Significant experience working with the department of health at a senior level
    • Experience and technical knowledge of quality improvement projects
    • 7 years’ of experience working within the public health system of South Africa, regulatory or Quality environment in the service delivery platform in South Africa.

    Desirable Experience:

    • 5 years or more experience in COVID19/HIV/TB/ STI management
    • Significant experience in working with the department of health at a senior level
    • Experience in working in NGOs and/or department of health settings

     KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Provide leadership, coordination and formulate the QI/QA agenda within RTC programmes
    • Provide strategic direction, as well as technical and programmatic oversight and ensure appropriate support for the integration of the COVID-19 vaccine in routine health services.
    • Responsible for understanding the processes of the underlying system of care so that improvements can be implemented
    • Ensure that linkages between programmes are strengthened to foster better quality improvement outcomes in health services
    • Assist in implementation of Quality Improvement/assurance activities by working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to identify gaps in service delivery in addition to identifying and setting improvement priorities
    • Continuous report writing, record keeping of all working procedures, identification of gaps, development and implementation of new procedures and standards
    • Follow-up on implementation of changes and comment on improvements, to ensure continuous quality improvement
    • Guide and direct Right to Care staff and other stakeholders to develop, implement and measure quality improvement initiatives
    • Assist the district and provincial teams to plan, prioritise and manage QI projects
    • Provide formal training/mentoring to relevant stakeholders to ensure skills transfer regarding quality improvement
    • Liaise with External and Internal Stakeholders
