    Quality Improvement Specialist - Wadeville

    Job Description    

    • To drive improvements in the Quality space through loss and waste analysis and structured problem solving, by assuming responsibility for continuous improvement plans and ensuring that regional results are tracked; trended and analysed for pro-active resolution of problems and mitigation of risk.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Provide input into the Quality and Environmental annual plans and monitor trends.
    • Conduct an in-depth analysis of Quality and Environment outputs, including loss and waste, to identify critical risk areas and areas of opportunity. 
    • Conduct Line Capability studies on focus (critical) lines and advise Regions on areas of opportunity, and track and ensure close out of recommendations. 
    • Facilitate, participate, and lead problem solving activities for the Regions, including the monitoring of emanating actions and trends to ensure continuous improvement (this includes the trend analysis on all Quality and Environmental improvement initiatives).
    • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on the design or redesign of processes, within the Quality and Environment domains. 
    • Monitor the standardised management of Quality and Environment principles across the Regions to ensure consistent application. 
    • Ensure compliance to Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) requirements for Quality and Environment procedures and operational standards (this includes participating in Quality and Environmental audits).
    • Track and monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to Quality and Environment, and provide reporting related to these. 
    • Conduct research/benchmarking to identify opportunities aimed at improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality and Environmental domain.
    • Provide regular updates on Quality and Environmental performance to all regional stakeholders to ensure alignment.

    Capability Development

    • Conduct Quality and Environmental training needs assessments and ensure inclusion in training plan for the Region.
    • Develop, coordinate, and support improvement programmes aimed at enhancing Quality throughput and overall performance.
    • Facilitate all Quality and Environmental training and coaching for the Regions.
    • Provide Regional support on the implementation of the Supply Chain Maturity Assessment (SCMAT) and Quality Management System (QMS) practices.
    • Drive the implementation and application of Quality and Environment best practices. 
    • Develop and coordinate Manufacturing capability development programmes to support the needs of the CCBSA performance and improvement objectives (including learning solutions for Strategic Quality Initiatives; Technical Skill Development needs at frontline; management levels and new capabilities). 
    • Conduct appropriate benchmarking across CCBSA plants against best practice, identify and implement opportunities. 
    • Support the Regions with the closure of technical gaps related to Quality and Environmental issues.

    • Knowledge of integrated Quality Management system encompassing HACCP.

    • Knowledge of world class benchmark standards and metrics.
