    Proposals Engineer

    Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for administering current contracts, engaging in business development activities, managing branding, and portfolio management, as well as spearheading marketing initiatives.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Adhering to Minopex's health and safety policies, following established systems, practices, methods, standards, and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all legal and operational requirements.
    • Leading the process of costing and compiling client proposals, making necessary adjustments to ongoing contracts. This involves crafting and submitting tenders for both internal and external stakeholders and participating in client meetings as required.
    • Managing tender documentation efficiently, keeping records of all business opportunities and client interactions up to date, and demonstrating meticulous attention to detail. The role requires the ability to work extended and sometimes unpredictable hours on proposal development.
    • Executing annual Contract Price Adjustments (CPA), updating costs for existing contracts, and managing all related correspondence. The role acts as the primary liaison with clients on contract issues, collaborating closely with the legal department to finalize contracts based on proposals.
    • Maintaining and promoting the company's brand identity across various channels, managing corporate gifting, and enhancing internal branding efforts. The role also involves participating in marketing activities such as conferences, exhibitions, editorials, advertising, and client entertainment to boost brand visibility.
    • Engaging in client meetings and presentations, exploring new projects and markets, and identifying new business opportunities within existing contracts to drive business development.
    • Facilitating daily interactions with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including clients, company directors, managers, administrative and finance staff, and inter-company staff (DRA, Ensersa, and QLS), ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.

    Qualification Requirements:

    • BSc. Engineering (Process / Metallurgy) or equivalent

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in marketing and professional roles within the mining industry is required.
    • Essential to have at least 5 years of experience in roles focused on marketing and selling complex engineering or operational services.
    • Skilled in the use of computer software and applications relevant to the industry.
    • Demonstrated excellence in communication and the ability to craft comprehensive reports.
    • Capable of juggling multiple projects at once, showcasing strong multitasking abilities.
    • Deep knowledge of both metallurgy and the marketing strategies applicable to the mining industry.
    • Exceptional skills in delivering presentations and engaging effectively with various audiences.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Ready and willing to mentor junior staff, offering guidance and managing team dynamics effectively.
    • Willingness to travel as needed for client interactions, participate in meetings, and attend industry-relevant events.
