Project Manager - Hillbrow CHC at Anova Health Institute

Job Description

• The successful candidate will be facilitating the buy-in at Hillbrow CHC of Anova support programmes and ensure implementation of the 90-90-90 strategy at the facility, including strategic development, oversight and management of Anova staff based at the facility.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and review overall strategy for the Hillbrow CHC in line with the overall Anova, SA DoH NSP for HIV/TB/STI (2017 – 2022) and 90-90-90 HIV/TB strategy and Donor requirements.
• Ensure prioritization of activities and an effective approach to implementing HSS activities to maximize outputs and outcomes against project targets.
• Manage all aspects of project monitoring and evaluation, including monthly and quarterly data analysis and develop Quality Improvement plans
• Collaborate with Hillbrow CHC Management to define and agree on the support activities which supports 909090 Strategy and Universal Test and Treat.
• Offer other health related clinical screening services (Blood Pressure, Glucose, pregnancy etc.) to clients during all community outreach activities
• Work with Hillbrow CHC Management to develop and strengthen HIV Counselling and Testing, Referral Systems, Linkages to Care, and Patient Tracking and Tracing systems to ensure effective Linkage to and Retention in Care to achieve DIP targets in support of the 909090 Strategy.
• Supervise and manage the duties of Anova team seconded to Hillbrow CHC to ensure optimal staff utilisation and maintenance of sound labour relations.
• Form part of the development of Sub-district & District 909090 implementation plans and quarterly review meetings

• Establish, manage and maintain functional relations with all internal (including relationships across the Anova team supporting sub-district F and E cluster) and external stakeholders including DOH, Donors and Partners
• Support and engage in relevant research processes, mainly operational research

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Public Health, Quality Management or Social & Behavioural Science
• Quality Improvement Advisor Course or other training in QI methodologies
• At least 2 years’ experience in project management or senior and supervisory role within comprehensive HIV/TB programmes
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in designing QI plans, tools and learning materials
• Sound knowledge and understanding of national public health priority programs and data management
• Must have knowledge of and documentation of best practices
• Knowledge of 909090 strategy, SA NSP for TB/HIV/STIs (2017 – 2022) and other Health related policies
