    Program Manager

    Job Description & Summary

    Purpose of job:

    The Programme Manager will be managing large transformation programmes and projects as well as assist with growing the Project Management capability within PwC. 

    This role requires the individual to have the knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. The individual must be an all-rounder with experience in project and programme management across various industries. The individual must have experience on multiple types of programmes, including technical, business and specifically large transformation programmes. The individual needs an ability to share and communicate status, risks, and updates clearly, both orally and in writing and work as a bridge between project teams and the stakeholders. 

    Key Outputs

    Programme delivery and management

    • Manage large programme delivery successfully
    • Manage large sized project teams 
    • Manage finances associated with project delivery and deliver on yearly revenue targets
    • Actively participate and manage all aspects of project delivery
    • Facilitate and lead team problem solving and client issue resolution efforts
    • Lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams and take full ownership of the quality of the project delivery
    • Liaise with staff at all levels of a client organisation
    • Manage finances associated with project delivery
    • Develop industry knowledge and thought leadership for programme & transformation management
    • Understand and interpret complex business challenges
    • Conceive innovative solution for clients
    • Think independently and creatively when formulating solutions
    • Be recognised as an expert in programme management
    • Manage all aspects of the programme, including risk, decisions, issues, quality, stakeholder management, scope, planning, reporting
    • Must be able to deliver a programme independent of the mythology followed (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)

    • Be able to build and sustain professional relationships both within PwC and externally
    • Actively collaborate with colleagues in solving unique business and challenges
    • Build long term relationships with clients that can be translated into revenue opportunities
    • Build effective relationships with team members that you lead
    • Fulfil coaching and mentorship roles to junior staff

    Experience

    • 10 - 15 years relevant programme and consulting experience

    Qualifications

    • Relevant B degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering
    • An advanced business degree is an advantage (e.g. MBA, Post Graduate Diploma in Management)

    Accreditation

    • Formal project management certification recommended
