    Program Engineer

    Requisition:  

    • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience in a company with demonstrated "high volume manufacturing" and 5 years of managerial experience.
    • Bachelor's degree with experience in program management, operations management, sales/account management, purchasing, material planning or logistics - master's degree preferred.
    • Ability to lead both strategically and operationally, with a strong commitment to ethical behavior, inclusion, and diversity.
    • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, including problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making; proactive, an individual who drives change and seeks opportunities for improvements, and passionate about taking ownership and delivering as both a leader and member in a winning and supportive team environment.
    • Strong business acumen, including knowledge of manufacturing, finance, marketing, and quality, and understanding of the importance of seeking improvements in cost, quality, and delivery performance in supplier selection and contracting.
    • Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial analysis concepts and budget management, including the ability to make cost/benefit decisions.
    • APQP and Program Management skills required, with strong leadership and motivational skills and ability to manage various cross-functional team members.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Lotus Notes, Word, Projects, and Outlook.
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required and work effectively in a matrix environment.

    The Program Engineer is responsible for managing and executing successful program launches within the Dana manufacturing facilities. This role will lead the cross-functional team in the development process and execution of major customer programs, ensuring on-time customer delivery of all program milestones, achieving corporate cost targets while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety

    • Responsible for ensuring that all safety and health standards are met to maintain an accident-free environment within the organization.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully launch new programs by coordinating all PMO (Program Management Office) activities, maintaining documentation, assigning champions with clear due dates, ensuring timely closure, and keeping PMO systems up to date.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain program timelines, launch plans, and schedules at all phases of the program, while also identifying potential program and launch risks and developing mitigation plans to resolve them including but not limited to capital equipment, tooling, gauges, test equipment, construction and dunnage.
    • Regularly monitor and report on launch progress and communicate any program issues to local and corporate upper management using plant launch dashboards.
    • Champion all launch emergencies, identify program risks, establish contingency plans, and work closely with stakeholders to mitigate potential launch issues and ensure effective communication of program status, both internal and external, for all issues related to the assigned program.
    • Liaison for purchasing to ensure on-time delivery, PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and launch of purchased components, working closely with all stakeholders to meet program milestones and requirements.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining quality documents, such as process flow diagrams, PFMEA's, Control Plans, APQP Checklists, and Work Instructions, and oversee pre-production pilot trials, production runs, Run @ Rate and PPAP with plant personnel.
    • Monitoring production and manufacturing performance financial metrics during launch to ensure corporate targets are achieved and promptly escalate any issues for focus and resolution.
    • Assist with timely and accurate completion of program quotations via the Salesforce Inquiry System.
    • Support customer meetings and serve as the lead plant stakeholder contact, collaborating with customer contacts to promptly address and resolve all program-related items while building a strong working relationship.
