    About the job

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Health related Degree/Diploma in Nursing (General, Community and midwifery.
    • Certificate in HIV project/ Program Management.
    • 2 years’ experience in Public Health, working in high-volume medical male circumcision service provision preferred
    • At least 2 years’ experience as program coordinator.
    • At least 2 years’ experience at management or supervisory level.
    • Clear understanding of DHO structures

    Technical And Behavioural Compentencies

    • Prior experience working with NGOs desirable
    • Knowledge of male circumcision, infection prevention and other relevant clinical issues
    • Knowledge of health communication and demand creation strategies
    • Ability to take initiative, plan and monitor activity flow and outcomes
    • Capacity to manage difficult working situations
    • Ability to analyse, interpret and solve difficult problems
    • Capacity to work under pressure in achieving set goals/objectives
    • Computer Literate.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Participate in district Hast Meetings to ensure alignment of the VMMC program with district activities
    • Manage and Supervise VMMC MOVE Teams and ensure that they are proficient in VMMC provision.
    • Develop and implement planning and reporting systems for the VMMC MOVE teams to ensure that they perform and reach allocated targets.
    • Hold regular meetings for VMMC MOVE teams to monitor progress and provide mentorship.
    • Supervise the VMMC office-based staff and ensure coordination of district activities.
    • Provide logistics and QA support for VMMC sites as needed.
    • Serve as first point of contact to District VMMC sites for logistics, supply, transport, demand and other relevant challenges.
