An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Procurement Specialist within a Chemical company based in KwaZulu – Natal.

Responsibilities:

• Influence key internal & external stakeholder relationships to drive delivery of company and procurement objectives.
• Strategic & Tactical Procurement of a portfolio of materials, goods or services within a category.
• Deliver KPI’s relating to TCO, quality, service, innovation, and continuity of supply for the portfolio.
• Work with suppliers and influence internal stakeholders to implement the innovation strategy, and to evolve the strategy as technology, markets, and business needs change.
• Continuously gather, analyse, interpret, and act upon market intelligence.
• Communicate to internal stakeholders as appropriate.
• Feedstock and market assumptions translated into impact on business.
• Minimise risk to continuity of supply by carrying out supplier risk assessments for the portfolio’s suppliers and implementing corrective actions as required.
• Ensure supply agreements where applicable are negotiated, implemented, and managed.

Requirements

• 3 Years experience
• BCom supply chain or similar
• Previous Employment Environment in chemical or manufacturing
• Relationship management, strong negotiation skills, ability to meet deadlines, strategic thinking, ability to change, understanding risk management and ability to implement risk mitigation, problem solver, influencer, good communicator

Benefits

• Salary: R500K/yr - R700K/yr, salary negotiable
