Process Engineer at Saint-Gobain

WHY DO WE NEED YOU ?

• Execute duties in accordance with the plant Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk & Quality Management Scheme (SHERQ)
• To report to the Senior Process Engineer on a daily basis with respect to Quality Control and Process issues.
• Develop High Standard Visual Critical Control Process Boards which are easy for all to understand using Statistical Process Control, or other suitable tools. Particular emphasis being placed on Step Zero specification and conformity in order to achieve CpK target of > 1.33 (Engineer to aspire on the day to day activities to achieve).
• All critical process control points to be defined and any issues outside process be clearly analyzed down to the root cause with effective corrective and preventative measure instituted.
• Project Management to support process optimization and new product developments
• Ensure all product specifications are up to date with latest process improvements and that Workshop Quality boards are audited to ensure Compliance

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU ?

• You will need to have a min of a Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Chemical Engineering with Honours from a suitably accredited university.
• After your graduate experience you need to have minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience within a 24hour manufacturing environment in a Process Improvement/Optimization or Quality.
• Lean methodology knowledge is an added advantage. Working in a fast-paced environment is crucial for this role.
