Panel Workshop Supervisor (Stormill, Roodepoort) at Automation Control Solutions (ACS)

Description    

• Automation Control Solutions is a Market Leader in Southern Africa in the field of Process Control Instrumentation providing world-renowned products, specialised training, after sales service and technical support. Automation Control Solutions represents Emerson Automation Solutions, formerly Emerson Process Management, in Southern and Eastern Africa.
• This position is based at ACS Head Office, Stormill, Roodepoort, Gauteng.
• This candidate, reporting to the E&I Manager, will be responsible for Panel Designs, Supervision and site activities. Provide and support customer requirements and expectations as part of the ACS Sales and service solution. Ensure cabinets are built according to customer standards.

Minimum Requirements    
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Multi-Disciplinary Draughting National Certificate (MDDOP N4/5)
• Diploma /Advanced diploma Electrical/ or Electronic Engineering
• CAD Qualification (Advantageous)
• E-Plan Qualification (Advantageous)

EXPERIENCE:

• Background in Panel Building Environment
• AutoCAD
• E-plan will be an advantage
• Drivers Licence (Code B)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Applied knowledge relating to technical info within a Process Control environment and system panels
• Computer skills, Windows 10/11, Office Excel, Word
• AutoCAD 
• E-Plan
• Creating Electrical drawings, Wiring Diagrams, Dimensional CAD drawings, Layout Drawings
• Be able to assist customer on site with panel inspections and quality feedback on panels 
• Ensure industry safety practices and best practice are observed at all time

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Panel building Supervision for wiremen 
• Panel Designs
• Prepare drawings for panel workshop (E-plan & AutoCAD)
• Conduct site visits for new projects scope clarification
• Conduct sitework supervision for cabinets installation, Acceptance testing and commissioning 
• Oversee Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) in panel workshop
• Follow ACS procedures 
• Conduct Control System, Cabinet Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Support. 
• Ensure Panels are built to Customer and required national standards
