    Nursing Services Manager

    Job Description

    • Job Summary:  To plan, lead, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the nursing function of the hospital to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and group standards.

    Minimum Qualifications and experience:

    • Cur/Diploma in General Nursing.
    • Master’s in nursing qualification will be advantageous.
    • Current registration with SANC.
    • BLS Qualification.
    • 5 years’ experience nursing management level and clinical.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and management of patients and doctors’ complaints.
    • Human resource management (Kronos, recruitment, staff engagement, performance management).
    • Develop effective financial control measures within the nursing department to ensure cost optimization and waste reduction.
    • Managing (review, analyse, monitor and resolve) nursing cost, labour hour norms and skills mix
    • Lead and drive nursing projects across functional teams to align and implement the nursing strategy
    • Drive and demonstrate visible leadership in respect of company values, operating model and strategy.
    • Maintain and develop working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure adherence to set standards in all nursing departments by conducting regular document and clinical outcome audits.
    • Manage a team of professionals to ensure all relevant monthly targets/goals are met as well as plan and organise staff training needs to help them meet their professional requirements.
