    National Sales Manager Industrial - Krugersdorp

    Main Purpose
    This role will be responsible for growing the Industrial sales – Essential foods. Interact with national manufacturing customers. Grow customer base focusing on value-added to product and opportunity to manufacture within customer specifications. Interact with R&D for new products into channel. Monthly RSM engagement throughout regions and support/feedback. Create and drive strategy for national volume growth on wheaten flour. Liaise with technical representatives to drive service levels and training within the channel.

    Accountabilities

    • Achieving Industrial sales budget (essential Foods – wheaten flour) - accountable for making decisions & excecuting actions
    • Managing sales team and initiatives on a national basis – feedback and coordinating
    • Prospecting new customers – accountable for making decisions, providing consultation & excecuting actions
    • Technical advise to customers – interact with supplying / manufacturing units for adherance
    • Supply agreements – Interact between customer and Pepsico legal
    • Developing new products as per customer requirements – accountable for R & D interaction and initiating launch
    • Forecasting customer demand – accountable for making decisions, providing consultation & excecuting actions
    • Managing buffer stock national in DC/Depots for supplying and growing In-store bakeries – accountable for being informed, making decisions, providing consultation & excecuting actions
    • Managing pricing, deals, promotional activity and trading terms – accountable for making decisions, providing consultation & excecuting actions
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on progress, budget, forecast and opportunities – accountable for being informed & providing consultation

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Min 10 years’ experience in FMCG, with preference to Grains sales experience (min5 years) and some technical product knowledge
    • Solid sales experience with a flair for building relationships, achieving results, following through, and standing firm in times of adversity. The incumbent should be able to handle pressure well, communicate clearly and concisely, make quick decisions and remain tenacious in achieving objectives in difficult times.
