Millwright - Johannesburg at Servest SA

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 or NQF level 4 preferred
• Management courses
• Relevant training courses
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a millwright or similar job.
• In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
• Must be trade tested/qualified as a Millwright
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• To be able to attend to breakdowns as safely and efficiently as possible.
• Give proper and accurate feedback on job card system.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Execute daily routine inspections of designated plant areas and tools/equipment and reporting of findings.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities ensuring equipment, machinery and plant production is functioning correctly.
• Ensuring a high level of housekeeping on the plant and equipment’s before, during and after maintenance tasks
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out timeously, ensuring timeous close out and feedback of all tasks.
• Supporting, suggesting and actively been involved with continuous improvement suggestions/ideas.
• Maintain good relations with all team members: engineering and production personnel as well as external service providers, contractors and management.
• Support peers and team members in daily activities, problem solving and tasks.
• Provide support to team members in achieving zero infringements to safety regulations.
• Act on behalf of the client always, especially when liaising with sub-contractors.
