    MEX Lead – Cape Town

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prioritizes project portfolio for the site, ensures resource allocation. Ensures E2E view of projects to prevent sub optimizations. Analysis for key projects and risk assessments.
    • Ensures adherence to project scope, timeline, budget, quality targets and all other project deliverables
    • Reports progress to site leadership, regional and global PMO regularly, flags issues upon deviations and proposes risk mitigation.
    • Provides guidance on project management processes and methodologies, trains and coaches project team members accordingly.
    • Leads and supports the implementation of new products in the site
    • Collaborates and works closely with other functions in the site (Engineering, R&D, QA) and outside (Marketing, Supply Chain, Sourcing and Regional/Global teams) to ensure flawless execution of projects.
    • Coordinates global/regional programs within the site and ensures execution according to agreed deliverable and time plans
    • Drive identification of improvement opportunities, project definition and fast execution plant wide. Implement proven methods (i.e. Kaizen events) to make those processes sustainable and an integral part of the site culture.
    • Leads process reviews and analysis, using lean methodologies and tools to identify, reduce and finally remove non-value added activities.
    • Implements re-designed processes and ensures sustainability of changes.
    • Identifies and develops talent to be trained in Lean Practices internally and externally. Ensures adaptation and implementation in own site.
    • Defines and aligns site dashboards and scorecards.

    Qualifications

    What We Are Looking For

    • Tertiary Qualification
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, pharmacy or related.

    Experience

    • 5+ years’ experience within pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.

    Requirements

    • Strong Project Management expertise and experience, ability to work on several projects in parallel
    • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
    • Change Management experience with sound process orientation, pro-active approach
    • Sense of urgency and ”Make it happen” mindset, results oriented
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement innovative solutions
    • Interpersonal skills; Active listening, provides constructive feedback, team plater, communication skills
    • Deadline and target driven approach and behaviour
    • Good documentation and admin skills
    • User knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Out of the box thinking
