Mechanical Operator (Hydraulic Cylinder Recondition) GG05 at Barloworld Equipment

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the mechanic(s) in performing repair work on hydraulic cylinders.
• Know which tools are used for the repairs.
• Physically lift, keep in place and / or move up to 20kg or use appropriate lifting and slinging equipment for objects larger in size.
• Clean and maintain facilities and equipment.
• Disassemble cylinders, check reusability of parts and those requiring engineering, obtain parts list jobs.
• Maintain a safe and orderly workplace

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade 12
• Tool handling certificate advantageous
• Ability to obtain certificate as forklift operator within 90 days of appointment
• Ability to obtain certificate as overhead /jib crane operator within 90 days of appointment
• Ability to follow instructions under supervision
• Valid Driver’s licence – Code B or Higher
