Mechanical Assistant (Trucks) Global Grade 03 - Mogalakwena at Barloworld Equipment

Key Output:

• Quickly and efficiently diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment on Customer sites or at BWE site.
• Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports including Machine Inspection Reports (MIR’s) and Technical Analysis Reports (TA’s)
• Maintain professional image when representing BWE
• Ensure safe work practice
• Control Contamination
• Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, parts returns, expenses etc.)
• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
• Assist artisan with planned services and maintenance on earthmoving equipment and components to supplier standards and customer requirements.
• Operator license to be able to operate supporting equipment

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

•  Grade 12
•  Driver’s License – Code 8, able to meet Anglo criteria for driving in pit area (Pass Dover Test)
•  Medical fit, able to meet Anglo criteria for working on heights
•  3 years relevant mechanical / mining experience
•  Sound interpersonal and communication skills
•  Basic troubleshooting and problem solving
•  Some Computer Literacy knowledge
•  Applicable Product Knowledge in PM, Components and Machine systems
