Marketing Co-Ordinator at Signature Cosmetics

Job Description

• Play a supportive role within the marketing team
• Monitor and respond to emails received on the marketing mailbox and escalate queries where appropriate to the Marketing Manager
• Monitor all social media platforms daily.
• Compile a monthly report on competitor activity and include observations and insights
• Assist in preparing presentations for meetings and conferences
• Attend to customer queries on social media (Instagram and Facebook)
• Assist with and contribute to planned and ad hoc campaigns (e.g., tactical influencer campaigns)
• Assist with and forward creative material brief requests to agencies
• Draft and co-ordinate approved store promotion communication and monthly store memos
• Maintain an updated supplier data base inclusive of existing suppliers and ad hoc suppliers
• Ensure details of all marketing/promotional elements are accurately captured
• Ensure all marketing samples received from the warehouse and product development are accurately recorded, stored, and photographed
• Ensure adherence to brand guidelines in all aspects of work performed and work checked
• Provide product knowledge and assist with questions for the monthly store Quizzes
• Co-ordinate the testing of new products and where appropriate, self-test and provide consolidated feedback
• Assist with events, e.g., Valentine’s Day, Christmas celebrations, birthdays et
• Assist with compiling internal and external emailers such as newsletters or promotional advertising material
• Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the Marketing Manager

Requirements 

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required
• Marketing Qualification an advantage
• 1 – 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the Cosmetics, Beauty, or fashion industry
• Proficient in MS Office packages
• Experience with updating e-commerce site content and images is a requirement
