    Marine Sales Manager South & East Africa

    Job Description (key Responsibilities)

    • Define the business plan for assigned area of responsibility according to Division Strategy, plan and targets
    • Develop the business by driving relevant sales development activities to get the customer Loyalty: Market Analysis, Pricing, Visits, Seminars/Webinars.
    • Monitor progress against objectives and financial targets.
    • Work proactive and structured with the sales to optimize the sales efficiency of the team
    • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve the applicable work processes and quality standards for the department, especially in the quotation process.
    • Lead the inside sales team giving the direction and ensuring that they are performing according with the plan and the sales process.
    • Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports to secure the development of relevant sales and product/application competencies
    • Analyse and understand market insights and the customers buying behaviour and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets.
    • Look for and manage leads from the market, customers and convert them in real business opportunities means owner of Lead to Cash Process.
    • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
    • Drive digitalization initiatives to expand presence and customer engagement.
    • Close coordination between Service Department, Service Operations, and International Marine Service Organization.

    • Industry, Product and Application proven competence
    • Business acumen - Business/marketing analysis, contracts, pricing, sales & marketing
    • Strong Business acumen –
    • Customer relationship and negotiating skills
    • Systems / solutions engineering knowledge, technical and costing
    • High proficiency in Alfa Laval Core technology for Marine products of Alfa Laval
    • Good communication skills
    • Proficiency in excel, word, presentation skills.
    • Relevant Engineering Degree in Marine/Mechanical.
    • Strong networking in Marine industry customers
    • Build up organization competencies in product/application.
