Managing Executive - Speciality (Baking) - Pretoria West at RCL Foods

• The successful incumbent will be responsible for the execution of business strategy, driving growth, leading teams (direct and cross-functional) as well as developing a purpose driven culture. 
• As the head of this dynamic operating unit, you will be responsible for implementing strategy with a view to creating shareholder value and you will ultimately be responsible for all day-to-day management decisions related to the execution of long- and short-term plans.

Minimum Requirements    

Relevant tertiary qualification

• < 10 years’ experience in a General Management/Senior Management/Executive role within the manufacturing sector (preferably food) non-negotiable.
• Strong entrepreneurial skills, with an ability to navigate change and challenges effectively
• B2B business development/Marketing/R&D/product development experience preferential.
• Demonstrated ability in leading teams and execution of business strategy.
• Proven track record of success in driving growth and profitability.
• Strong strategic, commercial, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• As the Managing Executive, you will be responsible for setting the strategic priorities of the operating unit (1-3 years) and implementing plans to achieve its goals.
• You will lead and mentor a strong Operating Unit executive team and collaborate with key business partners and internal cross-functional teams, to drive and deliver sustainable product innovation, operational excellence, partner relationships, growth, and profitability.
• Member of the extended Baking Business Unit Exec and collaborate on key projects/ opportunities and group initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer partners, suppliers, and business partners to facilitate growth for the operating unit.
• Accountable for the day-to-day operations, including financial performance, sales, production, supply chain and quality control performance of the business.
• Hold full P&L and growth responsibility of operating unit, including development of quarterly, annual and 5yr business plans, monitoring progress against the plan and take appropriate measures to keep these on course.
• Ensure that all capital investment projects remain on track and meet the agreed timeline objectives.
• Ensure audit/legal compliance and policy adherence to maintain standards and ethical business practices.
• Build a purpose driven culture of high performance and accountability.
