Management Accountant - KwaZulu-Natal at Safal Steel

• To prepare internal financial reports and provide insight into business performance. The objective is to help senior management use financial information to inform business strategy, as well as contributing to decision-making that will ensure business growth and long-term success.
• Management Accounts reporting
• Manage the financial reporting process.
• Ensure that all internal and external reporting deadlines are met.
• Full product costing
• BOM’s Cost Analysis
• Variance analysis – actual performance versus forecasted
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Credit control policy and approval process
• Receivables collection process
• Conformity with company guidelines, legal regulations and accounting standards
• Identify, investigate, analyse and propose potential operational improvements and changes (policy, procedures, processes etc)
• Ensure processes and procedures are correctly mapped and operating as intended within the ERP system
• Core lead team member for SAP HANA implementation
• Management of fixed assets/capex
• Assist with Ad hoc requests relating to compliance and statutory
• Assist the Financial Manager in the review of financial matters.

Requirements

• Minimum academic qualification: B Commerce: majors in Accounting and Auditing.
• Qualifications as an added advantage: Progress towards CIMA qualification Membership: CIMA Experience: At least 5 years post qualifying experience with at least 3 years in a management accounting role.
