Job Description

• The IIE Varsity College Cape Town campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer: School of IT(Programming) for the 2023 / 2024 academic year in any of the following:
  • Java
  • C Sharp (C#)
  • Android (Kotlin)
  • HTML (& CSS)
  • JavaScript / React / Angular
  • Cloud Development
  • Software Engineering

• Develop and deliver engaging and effective programming lectures
• Assess student learning and provide feedback
• Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively
• Programming / Software Development

 
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal:

• An Honours or Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science / Information Technology.
• Alternatively:
• An Honours or Master’s degree or higher in similarly related fields with programming.

Work Experience Requirements:

• ​Lecturing experience in programming (advantageous).
• Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ programmer
• Relevant Industry experience in your programme of specialty.
• Lecturing or teaching experience within a Tertiary environment is (advantageous).
