Lecturer: Digital and Academic Literacies (Independent Contractor) at Vega School

Job Purpose:

Lecturer and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal:

• A 3 year degree in Computer Science and Information Systems

Alternatively:

• A 3 year diploma with a similarly related field to the third year level ​

 Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• Lecturing experience in programming
• Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ mobile programmer​

 Key Performance Areas:

• Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide
• Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours and stipulated per pre agreed timetable
• Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback in a timeous manner
• Presenting class marks and feedback to the Module Discipline Leader and discuss appropriate interventions for improved student success
• Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within The IIE’ Vega School environment.

 Working Conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor position
• Positions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:30
