    Integrated Scheduler

    Job Description
    You will be responsible to integrate the different schedules from all the departments within the Operation into one master schedule taking care of conflicts and synergies on into consideration and optimising the schedule accordingly.

    The focus for this role will be the following:
    Work Management Scheduling

    • Develop integrated schedules with a view of a 6-week period (processing and maintenance) to safely, efficiently and cost effectively meet short term production objectives.
    • Provide technical expertise to both production and maintenance teams to ensure effective optimisation of the operations scheduling processes and capabilities.
    • Manage work management schedulers to deliver section business targets including quality and quantity of all related processing tasks.
    • Identify and schedule all infrastructure requirements to execute the weekly schedule.
    • Resource utilisation
    • Conformance to standard
    • Timeliness of plans and schedules
    • Processing operations optimized
    • Scheduling processes and capabilities aligned with operational targets
       

    Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices.
    • Meet processing objectives and conform to Anglo processing standards, operational physical standards and asset management principles to ensure safe processing operations within legislative guidelines.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Contribute to continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives to enhance processing processes.
    • Keep abreast of developments in the processing field to initiate and implement projects and improvement initiatives toward contributing to business profitability and growth.

    • Research and development
    • Benchmarking for the application of best practice methodology
       

    Stakeholder Management

    • Manage production and maintenance integration on MPE (Metallurgical Production Engineer) and SE (Section Engineer) level.
    • Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with service providers, as well as other functions responsible for ensuring that business needs are met, and employees are satisfied.
    • Assist with external stakeholder (e.g. other processing operations during shutdowns, etc) requests if appropriate to ensure smooth and efficient running of processing processes to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.

    • Alignment with all relevant stakeholders
       

    Qualifications
    You will need the following for this role:

    • Grade 12
    • Successfully completed all Scheduler training modules, or equivalent (SAP)
    • Have completed SAP Planner 2 Training/ departmental processor Grade 1 training
    • Completed OM Theory & SAP Systems training/ SLDP training
    • Valid driver’s License code B
       

    Experience

    • 5 years Maintenance and Scheduling experience in a Processing Operation
    • 5 years Operational experience in a Processing Operation with at least 3 years at a Supervisory role
       

    Knowledge And Skills

    • Must be computer literate
    • Knowledge and understanding of legal and safety compliance of plant requirements and schedules
    • Understand the full spectrum of the entire operation and the interdependencies between the different processing units
    • Understands the processing plant lifecycle, value chain and impact of processing activities on business and operational performance.
    • Ability to drive the development of optimal schedules that incorporate processing, maintenance, metallurgical and economic information.
    • Experience on SAP Prometheus Scheduling tool will be advantegeous.
