    HR Consultant Intern (EE)

    Job Details

     

    This is a 12-month learnership comprised of work experience and course work. We are looking for someone between the ages of 18 and 26 years old who has completed a degree in Human Resources.   The individual must be a South African citizen by birth.

    Responsibility

    Providing support to the HR team on defined HR operations and projects, including but not limited to:

    • Recruitment – preparing interview packs, posting of non-senior vacancies, setting up appointments, assist with screening, conducting the MIE reference checks, engagement on pre-appointment requirements.Maintain and follow-up on the probationary documentation.
    • On-boarding - Preparing contracts and on-boarding packs as well as assisting with the induction of new staff.
    • Termination - Ensure that all company property is returned.Administer the terminations process and ensure sign-off by all identified stakeholders.Set up exit interviews.
    • Payroll – Check accuracy of overtime sheets verification and assist with payroll ad hoc projects such as school bursary applications, financial wellness day, etc.
    • Training – Assist with arranging training for all employees (scheduling, documentation, etc.), ensure payments are processed timeously and responsible for all training documentation and recordkeeping.Co-ordination of the on-site training event.
    • Committees, meetings and forums – assist with co-ordination and arrangement of HR meetings, HR events and HR committees, responsible for minute taking of HR meetings.
    • Filing & administration – Responsible for all HR filing, e-filing and accurately capturing information on the relevant systems. Ensuring all HR files are up to date
    • Maintaining employee personnel records and management of personnel files
    • Assist with monthly reporting in relevant HR sections
    • Providing overall support in special HR projects
    • Assist with access of records on personnel files and on the IMS Portal during audits
    • QIS – send invites to all employees to attend Quarterly Information Sessions, ensure the room is set up.
    • Providing overall support with Audits
    • Assist with BBBEE Certificates from suppliers

    Education

    • Matric and a NQF-7 or equivalent qualification in Human Resources
    • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

    Ability

    • Analytical ability and attention to detail
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Professional and business etiquette in internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent communications and presentation skills.
    • Can-do attitude.
    • Good command of English

    Knowledge

    • Strong administration knowledge with intention to forge a career within the field of HR
