    HR Business Partner (Specializing in ER/IR)

    Job Purpose

    We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner who will take the lead in ER/IR matters. If you are looking for a challenging HRBP role, whilst taking overall responsibility for ER matters in a fast pace Agri retail environment, this is the opportunity for you. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group HR Lead.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Drive and regulate employment relations for the company, including CCMA, Union and Bargaining Council matters;
    •  Subject matter expert on all ER related matters whilst keeping abreast and ensuring compliance with BCEA, LRA and the Bargaining Council collective agreement;
    •  Investigate and facilitate disciplinary hearing, grievances and poor performance discussions;
    •  Participate in BBBEE and EE matters;
    •  Responsible for the full function of HR Business Partner;
    •  Drive and implement HR strategic projects aligned to the business strategy;
    •  Accountable for the delivery of all HRBP Best Practice Operational deliverables across the HR value chain in activities ranging from Recruitment, HR Operational and Termination matters; and
    •  Support managers in all staff retention and morale-related activities.

    Skills, Qualifications and General Requirements:

    •  Human Resources Qualification specializing in IR is advantageous;
    •  Five (5) years’ extensive appropriate experience in HRBP and employment relations  as described in the above-mentioned duties;
    •  Experience as a HRBP/HR Generalist in a retail environment will be advantageous;
    •  Experience in dealing with employment relations matters represented at the CCMA, Labour Court and Bargaining Council is essential;
    •  Valid driver’s license and own transport and Fluent in Afrikaans and English; and
    •  Computer literacy and knowledge of the MS Office package.
