Head - Project Management at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A BSc or BTech degree in Civil Engineering
• Eligible for Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience, including project or programme management within a Transport, Roads and Stormwater implementation environment.
• A valid Code B driver licence and own transport
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Built Environment and Project Management functions.
• Ability to operate independently at a highly proficient level

Key Performance Areas

• Manage the regional capital works projects for the Urban Mobility Directorate.
• Project manage, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of multidiscipline capital works projects within the Transport, Roads and Stormwater environment.
• Undertake all contract management functions in respect of assigned contracts.
• Coordinate and manage all project elements of planning, execution and control, interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare capital budgets, manage and control the expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
• Manage, develop and mentor staff within the assigned team.
• Comply with legislative, administrative and reporting requirements.
