Head- Procurement at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• B –degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Public Management or related field
• Code EB driving license
• Computer Literacy – MS Office Applications
• At least 8 years relevant experience

Key Performance Areas

• Providing professional guidance and advice to the organisation, to ensure the implementation of applicable KPI's in the SCM
• Department SDBIP, as well as delivery on projects and process resulting in integration across SCM functional areas
• Conducting high level and detailed cross functional research in the City of Cape Town, as well as assessing national and international Industry best practices
• Realigning procurement and SCM strategy towards business andOrganisational strategies
• Applying a body of high level and complex professional SCM
• Knowledge and expertise in the Execution of key SCM functions to ensure all stakeholders, to the SCM department is in receipt of effective and efficient customer centric services.
• Driving a culture of innovation and managing initiatives in support of monitoring, reviewing and improving the processes for Procurement.
• Review quality of the process followed by procurement and the project managers, including oversight over and implement effective compliance checks, in support of reporting in line with SCM policy and applicable legislation
• Develop internal control standards to improve compliance and
• Mitigate procurement irregularities, fruitless and wasteful expenditure and propose remedial actions.
