    Growth Centre Controller

    The position reports to the Compliance Manager and will be responsible for:

    • Being creative and identifing, creating, managing and delivering learning content into a digital and user-friendly manner for our sales teams using a range of techniques, across channels including social media platforms.
    • The role needs to support the success of Project Growth Centre by managing the VTM designed e-learning platform, incl. various stakeholders linked to the project.
    • The role needs to identify standard operating procedures that need to be shared with learners within VTM (Vector Trade Marketing).

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A completed 3-year Tertiary Qualification in Marketing, English, Journalism or similar related fields.
    • A formal qualification in HR or IT Systems, Digital platforms, content creation tools, WordPress would be advantageous.
    • 5+ years experience in a similar role.
    • 3+ years experience managing a team.
    • 3 years in online content writing, copywriting, editing, would be advantageous, learning content a distinct advantage.
    • Experience in content management systems.

    Preferred skills & knowledge:

    • Excellent Writing and editing skills.
    • Strong eye for detail.
    • Digital platforms and content creation, social media.
    • Knowledge of FMCG, Retail, Sales and Merchandising industries.
    • Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel).
    • Numeracy ability.
    • Personable with good communication skills.

    Key areas of responsibility:

    Content Management

    • Management of the VTM Designed Platform (Lesson Desk) content plan with input and sign off from the Leadership team & HR.
    • Management of licenses issued to learners as well as contractual management with relevant vendor.
    • Working within budget tramlines for content design and platform/user licenses.
    • Management Content Upload in line with Content plan timeously and in line with the schedules.
    • Ensure all relevant checks are in place to ensure content is activated in line with this.
    • Ensure that new starters are activated and have access to the relevant content in line with the content plan for new joiners.
    • Manage the creation of new content either with appointed vendor or create content using the relevant templates.
    • Design and implement questions that are in-line with content and signed off by relevant managers.
    • Ensure Newsflashes are sent out accordingly.
    • Update and manage the document library according to the content plan as well as manage new content that needs to be placed on the site as well as updated where required.
    • Communication with external service providers regarding content & LMS system.
    • Collaborate with L&D team to ensure that the content created is line with competency levels.

    Content Creation

    • Design, implement, write, edit, blog and update content in-line with learning material required to increase knowledge Levels of VTM Employee’s. Across various media channels from Platforms, brochures, marketing/promotional mailers, websites, blogs and more.
    • Research industry related content.
    • Liaise with relevant 3rd parties / agencies / subject matter experts regarding content that is created to ensure that this meets the requirements of the VTM team.
    • Manage the budget according to the content creation.
    • Exercise creativity in creating content on the stipulated templates for the document library. (Creation vision illustrates content for Stakeholders).
    • Create video content using PPT and MP4’s that meets the requirements of the VTM team.
    • Use video creation tools and systems to create animations in line with company CI and requirements of the Content Plan and feedback from line.

    LMS System Management

    • Manage the Vendor system ensuring that the org on system replicates HR SAP.
    • Conduct monthly checks to ensure that the system org replicate SAP.
    • Conduct checks to ensure that new users are loaded onto the site and have access correctly (checking of the SAP integration).
    • Ensures usernames and passwords of new starters to managers has been communicated.
    • Ensure that all roles on the system match are aligned to those on SAP.
    • Update and or create roles should these change.
    • Manage and control the list of Admin Users on the system.
    • Conduct regular recon list of employee numbers and report discrepancies to line, HR and relevant vendor.
    • Manage and control the lists of users according to the number of licenses that are available. This includes new joiners and those that exit and need to be replaced. Communicate frequently with the relevant managers and provide feedback to the Leadership team.
    • Manage the Recruitment and Termination Google drive with HR and vendor to ensure that replacement employees are added to the system efficiently.
    • Investigate and test new system enhancements on the VTM Designed.
    • Platform (vendor). Ensure that all relevant testing is conducted. Manage the communication process with the VTM Leadership team regarding these.

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Compile reports for the VTM Leadership team monthly.
    • Provide reporting feedback to the L&D team and HR LT.
    • Reporting to Line Managers on various aspects such as non-compliance of lessons / courses, specific learning gaps / trends. Escalate these if required.
    • With input from Line, create reports that will be shared with relevant line managers regarding:
    • Numbers of learners in their teams that are active.
    • Learning gaps.
    • Learners results and how many attempts to pass lessons.
    • Courses / lessons that still need to be completed.
    • Analyze reports by region / area to determine learning gaps and provide suggested remedial action / content to support learners in closing gaps. This may require a blended approach to learning such as advising on workshops / further face to face training or support from line managers.
    • Set up BI Dashboard / Leaderboards with support from BI Team: manage access to these reports.
    • Receive and review weekly reports from lesson Desk regarding Helpdesk queries – provide feedback to line / Leadership regarding trends / recurring issues.
    • Ensure that HR reporting systems such as SAP and HR Manage are kept up to date and that relevant training is captured / recorded.
    • Engage where necessary with the HRIS team and IT Team regarding any enhancements or system requirements in particular reference to phase 2 of the project.
    • Extract learners who have successfully completed courses to receive certificates. These lists need to be signed off by management as well as HR partners to ensure that all information is accurate.
    • Certificates to be printed and issued to staff, registers to be kept for auditing purposes.
    • Review and analysis of Reverse Billing and the costs incurred. Implement a budget to manage these costs and track these.

    Communication and Administration

    • Actively manages various stakeholders such as VTM Developed platform’s developers (vendor) by holding frequent meetings to ensure that Project milestones are being met.
    • Actively engage with the communication team to look at ways to drive activity levels on the LMS tool such as though Let’s Talk; Whats App.
    • Ensure that relevant files are established regarding the system to ensure that records are kept of all content created.
    • Provide regular feedback to HR team and L&D team.
    • Manages and maintains an active tracker of development on platform and learners progress.
    • Plans and schedules learners and learning roll out periods.
