Group Financial Accountant/Tax at Cipla

Job Purpose

• To provide financial reports for the region to the CFO, Global Finance Department, company management, and external partners in financial reporting, accounting and tax matters. 
• The support is achieved through accurate group financial accounting and reporting, strong technical skills, development of financial reporting models and ensuring the financial integrity of the statutory accounting records/group management accounts.
• Ensure that all group companies comply with tax rules and regulations (Income tax, Value-added tax and Transfer Pricing).

Accountabilities

• Monitor developments of the South African Income Tax and VAT Act to ensure Corporate Tax compliance for the group
• Oversee group accounting activities required to maintain the organisation’s general ledger, overall financial accuracy and resolve financial issues
• Assume overall responsibility of the reporting function to ensure accurate and consistent reporting for the group

Education Qualification

• SAICA Qualified Chartered Accountant

Relevant Work Experience

• For CA: Newly qualified or 1-2 years post article experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Technically very strong in IFRS and Tax
• SAP experience advantageous
