    Franchise Manager - Midas

    Job Description
    Motus Aftermarket Parts is searching for a Franchise Manager to join the team in Meadowview Head Office. The purpose of this position is to support franchisees as well as internal staff in day-to-day operations ensuring compliance to brand strategies.

    Position Overview

    • Manage marketing and promotional activities/ Promotional calendar planning
    • Assist suppliers/franchisees co-ordinate customer training evenings
    • Identify new business opportunity with suppliers and Franchisees
    • Resolve supplier and franchisee queries
    • Manage customer relationships through existing group structures complementing other departmental efforts
    • Manage digital platforms – Loading of promotions, pricing etc.
    • Maintain relationship with Franchise and Key Account Managers in each region
    • Assisting in the growth of the franchise footprint by working with KAMs and NFM.
    • Recognizing opportunities for distribution channels, services, and campaigns that will result in sales throughout the value chain
    • Working with the internal teams to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization
    • Identify areas/concepts for growth of the brands

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    Midas Franchise Portal

    • Maintaining the correct information on the portal.
    • Ensuring users are updated and loaded with the correct details.
    • Loading communications where necessary (open areas, value adds, supplier comms)

    Franchise Agreements and SLAs

    • Collected, vetted, and completed renewals and new franchise agreements.
    • Ensuring Service Provider SLAs are in order and received.

    New Franchise Applications

    • Processing new, existing (branches) and relocation applications for stores. 
    • Ensuring applications completed correctly with necessary documentation.
    • Communicating with the Accounts division and relevant KAMs/PIA branch regarding the application.

    Possible/Open Areas

    • Maintaining the list of open areas with the National Franchise Manager and communicating this bi-weekly to the franchise base.

    New, Relocating and De-franchised Stores

    • Following the process for setting up new and relocating stores, on occasion vetting the artists impressions and brand details with the National Franchise Manager.
    • Following the process for disenfranchised stores ensuring the correct cancellation process

    KAMs and Franchise

    • Maintaining Communications between KAMs and franchise office and relaying the correct information and keeping the relationship ongoing working together on franchise related queries for the franchise base.

    Communications

    • Letters to franchisees on brand related issues as per National Franchise Manager.
    • Relaying brand related and franchise information on Midas Owner’s WhatsApp group (policies, upcoming events).
    • Maintaining communication with Ad hoc related vendors together with National Franchise Manager (fernridge/galaxy; Mystery Shopper).

    Brochures, Marketing and Events

    • Processing the memos for supplier billing related to participation in Midas brochures and getting approval from National Franchise Manager.
    • Processing and logging any franchise related marketing claims and advertising.
    • Liasing with suppliers and interdivisional departments on national campaigns and running with the campaign and related elements.
    • Assisting National Franchise Manager with events and meetings for the brand.

    Franchise Policies and Procedures

    • Maintaining franchise policies with and as per the National Franchise Manager.
    • Ensuring FOTY runs smoothly and issues resolved, collecting and collating relevant information with National Franchise Manager.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Matric Certificate/Grade 12
    • Certificate or Diploma in Sales and/or Marketing
    • Franchise business experience essential
    • Knowledge of the Automotive Aftermarket industry is essential

    Skills and Personal Attributes

    • Good Communication Skills
    • Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
    • Computer literacy (Above average knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
    • Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
    • Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure
    • Professionalism
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Clear criminal check
