    FP&A Senior Analyst

    Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

    • Responsible for coordination and consolidation of Lubricants Business Plan, monthly forecasts and customer profitability planning including capex.
    • Validation and analysis of actual versus budget including variance analysis and performance reporting as required in monthly reporting cycles. Analysis covers volume, margin, opex, capex, working capital and ROIC, at the appropriate level of granularity.
    • Provide input into Lubricants monthly scorecards/KPI’s reviews.
    • Review and endorse Lubricants cash preservation submissions.
    • Review and endorsement of royalty accruals and payment requests
    • Perform analysis on financial performance to define trends, gaps and opportunities. Additional data for analysis includes market demand information/indicators, sales performance metrics (Volume/Revenue/Gross Margin/Profit), and competitive information.
    • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required to achieve specific outcomes as required by leadership
    • Work with business and support teams to review customer and product portfolio profitability, identify and drive initiatives for improvement
    • Analyse Lubricants division performance metrics data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, assisting teams to close any identified gaps.

    Professional Qualification and Certifications:

    • Tertiary Qualification (Bachelors or National Diploma) in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration
    • Financial modelling certification and/ or CA(SA) qualification advantageous

    Work Experience:

    • 3-5 years work experience in a financial or management reporting role.
    • Manufacturing and/or FMCG experience highly advantageous.

    Knowledge and skills:

    • Strong financial and analytical skills, commercial acumen
    • Financial modelling advantageous
    • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Understanding of commercial business performance and value drivers
    • Understanding of the industry, preferably manufacturing and/or FMCG
    • Attention to detail
    • Business writing and communication (including presentations)
    • Experience relevant to this position will be an advantage.
    • Ability to produce high quality, insightful analysis and recommendations
    • Ability to work with large data sets and complex variables
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point
    • SAP, SAC and PowerBI knowledge advantageous
