Foundry Technician: Intern - Cape Town at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• To provide support to the Technical Account Consultant.
• Helping with the calibration of sand mixers.
• Supporting the lab at the customer site on sand and resin performance testing.
• Conducting laboratory work at Umbongitwini site.
• Results reporting.
• Facilitating routine sand testing and projects between customer, Umbongitwini and Chloorkop laboratories.
• Helping with trouble shooting at the foundry floor.
• Stock monitoring and liaising with the stores and purchasing departments.
• Ensure compliance to safety by living the Zero Harm philosophy of AECI.

Qualifications & Experience    

• Grade 12.
• Undergrad qualification in Physical Metallurgy
• An individual seeking ECSA Engineering Competency assessment.
• Preferably an individual who resides in Cape Town and surrounding areas.
