    Foreman: Junior Projects and Contruction Foreman

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

    • To support the Projects & Construction foreman in overseeing project execution, managing teams, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO

    • Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies (Costs).
    • Manage resource for optimal installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
    • Ensure that all Project deliverables required have been met and potentially exceeded. (Project Quality).
    • Oversee, manage, and direct construction and installation of plant and equipment on site (mostly via the Projects & Construction Foreman) from concept to handover with minimal impact to the plant and operations (Schedule compliance & Plant availability).
    • Implement, drive and monitor Zero Harm, practices, systems and processes, in areas of Safety, health and environment.
    • Participate in formal SHEQ Audits.
    • Insuring installation of all plant and equipment meets the generally accepted technical standards for the work being done.
    • Liaison with relevant foreman and managers from all disciplines across the site to ensure consistency in formulation and implementation of safe practices and services for the installation of plant and equipment.
    • Compile maintenance plans for new and existing equipment as may be required.
    • Manage technical information (manuals, drawings, etc.) where required.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    •  A completed Matric qualification.
    • A recognised Trade test certificate in Electro-mechanical, Boiler making or Fitting or Electrical trade will be an advantage.
    • A national diploma or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 6 to 12 months of experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
    • SAP PM experience and/ or other CMMS would be advantageous.

    • Safety leadership.
    • Good written and oral communicator.
    • Customer centric approach to maintenance/Project execution.
    • Focus on results through quality and safety awareness, managing work, planning and organising, decision making and customer focus.
