    Finance Business Partner - Bellville

    Requirements

    • BCOM, BCOM Honours or CIMA with management accounting or financial accounting as majors or substantial proof of progress been made towards the achievement of the BCOM Honours or CIMA qualifications
    • At least 5 years of financial experience in a corporate environment with a strong emphasis on financial management

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Internal Processes:

    • Support and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic business plans
    • Manage the budget and forecast for the support portfolios
    • Source information and expertise to support the business
    • Model the financial impact of initiatives and make appropriate recommendations
    • Conduct expense management and variance analysis
    • Compile and provide financial management reporting and analysis that add value and insight for the business
    • Investigate, identify and make recommendations to improve cost management
    • Implement, document and review processes and procedures supporting internal control and best practise financial administration
    • Ensure that accounting adheres to the group standards and that cost allocations are aligned to the Retail methodology
    • Assist with any ad-hoc financial projects that may be assigned from time to time
    • Manage general financial administration and controls

    Client Services:

    • Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders
    • Contribute to the process of negotiating objective and realistic service level agreements, monitor appropriateness and recommend adjustments
    • Define service practices which build rewarding relationships, encourage innovation and allow others to provide exceptional client service
    • Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed
    • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
    • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service

    People:

    • Build strong relationships through providing specialist know-how and leadership to others, expressing positive expectations
    • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of industry and subject matter development and application thereof in an area of specialisation

    Finance:

    • Implement and provide input into governance processes, systems and legislation within area of specialisation
    • Escalate unresolved policy and governance compliance issues via appropriate channels for investigation and resolution purposes
    • Provide input into the risk identification processes development and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum
