Field Technical Service - Alberton at PPG

As a Field Technical Service, you will work in close cooperation with the Technical Manager PMC EMEA and Field Technical Service Representative to provide surveillance testing and product support to the local sales teams and distributors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and basic application assistance on various sites.
• Witness and report reference area applications.
• Perform regular technical surveillances and reporting.
• Must be fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Perform destructive and non-destructive testing.
• Hold a valid driver’s license & passport.
• Be able and willing to travel 80% of time. Local and International.
• Propose corrective actions and report non-conformities whenever required, to avoid complaints, safeguard PPG from claims, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Attend Marine dry-docking projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of Protective and Marine Coatings and/or corrosion protection in general.     
• Minimum NACE Level 1 or similar certification (Frosio, Corrodere, SAQCC, etc.)
